First things first, books! There are a number of books that I want, both magical and Muggle. Toadstool Tales by Beatrix Bloxam is my number one magical book on my list and A Wrinkle in Time by Madeleine L’Engle is my top Muggle book on my list. I am in need of more quills as well, as I love to annotate my books. Self-Inking quills are quite handy for annotating and writing on the go, but good old normal quills are just as good if I’m writing at a desk. I absolutely need some book ends; my bookshelf is so disorganized right now! I will be looking for animal-shaped book ends, particularly of cats and owls. But I will peruse all that’s available, in case something else catches my eye. Parchment is a must as well, and I will need lots for the upcoming school term. I will make sure to grab a variety of textures and thicknesses, as I’m not sure what I will need for different assignments. Lastly, I absolutely need more notebooks. I use them for classes, scheduling, teaching, journalling, and just organizing my thoughts.

I really dislike making the bed! If I could wave a wand and have a freshly made, clean bed, my life would get so much better.

Something I do everyday that I do on autopilot is brushing my teeth. I set a timer to make sure I'm brushing for long enough, but while I'm brushing my teeth, I day dream. Today when I woke up, however, I really thought about what sorts of movements I do and if I have a set pattern of brushing. I figured out that I do, I always brush my teeth in the same way, I guess to make sure I'm not missing anywhere in my mouth. It was sort of agonizing trying not to go into my own little world like I'm used to, and I definitely appreciate that bit of time I have to just daydream.

I would use the Confundus charm on a person if the situation called for it. The charm doesn't leave any long-lasting negative effects on people, so as long as I can justify the action, I wouldn't have a problem using it. The person being charmed would at most be uncomfortable for a short time, but most likely wouldn't remember the event. Some situations would call for this type of charm. Using the Confundus charm on objects would present no moral dilemma for me; I would not hesitate to use it in that case.

My first attempt at this spell went a little bit sideways! I tried to swap the noses of a pig and a dog, but I accidentally involved myself in the equation. I ended up with the dog's nose, and the dog ended up with my nose. Needless to say, I was quite surprised, and so was the dog. The one thing I enjoyed was having the heightened sense of smell that comes with a dog's nose. Although, I looked quite weird, so I was happy when my professor switched it back.
