  1. A swan is a very traditional form for an ice-sculpture, so I think I will go with that. However, I would also enchant my ice swan to make noises occasionally - sometimes it will honk, as swans do, and sometimes it will yell 'SWAN!' like they do in the film Hot Fuzz. It would only make these noises rarely (so as not to annoy other Fair-goers), and unpredictably.
  2. A game I remember playing with my sister and our neighbours a lot when we were younger is ‘Pooh Sticks’ (I’ve never actually written it down before, so I’m guessing on the spelling). The village we lived in had a small stream running through it that we all referred to as ‘The Beck’ (I think that’s a local word for stream) and it had several footbridges crossing it. To play the game you each needed a small stick, large enough to identify, but quite light still. We would then stand on a bridge facing upstream, count to three, and drop our sticks into the water. The first stick to appear on the downstream side of the bridge was the winner.
  3. Hi I'm Kalgri, a first-year Hufflepuff, just popping over to say hello! I tend to spend most of my time in the Hufflepuff Common Room, but I enjoy exploring as well. I'm really looking forward to my first year here and all the classes that are on offer! I'm excited to meet new people and make new friends.
