  1. Does T come after F now? I <3 you, Dario. Skipping to H. Heliopath!
  2. Toast! Man, why are all of mine food related...
  3. Innocent, because I had to Google exactly what that was. Have you ever laughed so hard you snorted?
  4. Red vines! Thank you A Very Potter Sequel. I'm thinking of something square and dark.
  5. Fortuantely, the sidewalks were made of marshmallows and everyone was fine. You violent people ;)
  6. I'll take the maze, strangely enough. I'm perceptive and I've got some spells up my sleeve. Would you rather cut down a tree with a knife, a nail and a hammer or dig up a bush with a solid stick and your feet? I'VE DONE BOTH. My household didn't have much in the way of actual tools, so I had to get creative. Also, it wasn't a big tree.
  7. Awwww, this was sweet to find. Thanks people, and yes, Chad, it made me giggle.
  8. Backstreet's back, all right! Or, at least I am. ;)

  9. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, HAILEY! Cake and stuff for you!
  10. Would it not be?! I would love to have Neville as my patronus. It's so fitting.
  11. I'm from the lovely state of North Carolina, which is very hot and humid right now, but lovely otherwise.
  12. Hello, Gryffs. I'm Zenix. I used to be awesome and then I disappeared. Okay, maybe not so awesome. Maybe I'm making a comeback? Mmmm, maybe. Welcome to Gryff, new people!
  13. Purple rain, puuuuurple raaaaain! (Prince, although, I'm not a fan. Sorry, Prince.) Uhm. What are you most afraid of?
  14. 2706...STRANGEST GAME EVER.
  15. You know, I've thought about this a lot. I first thought my Patronus would be a horse because I'm a free spirit, but while that seems fitting, I doubt I'd get something that cool. I think my patronus would be something goofy and clumsy, but brave and strong. Basically, if my patronus could be anything, it would be Neville Longbottom, but since that's not possible... So, this would be my Patronus: THE SUN BEAR.

  17. BANNER AND MOTTO CHALLENGE! Are you all ready for a sweet graphic's challenge?! Absolutely! As mentioned in the Gryff Paw Print's newest issue...What? Haven't read the newest issue? CLICK ME! Moving on, as mentioned in the issue, the Paw Print just unleashed their brand new site upon HOL and that site is a little lacking in the graphics banner department. Currently, there are only three alternating banners for the site and they're lonely, and no one wants to mess with a lonely banner. Trust us. So, in order to fix this little problem and add some Gryffindor flair to the new website, we're holding a contest to see which students and staff can create the best banners and mottos for the Paw Print. There will be two different sections in the challenge. You do not have to participate in both to take part in the contest...But we hope you do! \o/ Also, just as a side note, the motto contest and the banner contest are meant to be combined. Your motto can go on your banner, so it's like killing two hippogriffs with one bludger. No hippogriffs were harmed in the making of this contest. Banner Contest Size: Width 850 X Height 200 As it's a banner, size is going to be really important to stick to, or there is a possibility that portions of the banner will be cropped out. Here are the three banners on the site currently, so you have an idea and, maybe, some inpiration. Banner 1, clicky Banner 2, clicky Banner 3, clicky Students and staff competing in this challenge are going to have free reign over what they're going to make into a banner. We don't really have any serious what's serious guidelines, other than the sizing instructions. We just ask you to remember that the staff of the Paw Print, and the Paw Print, are all insane. Motto Contest We're looking for a catchy and hilarious new motto for the Paw Print. Actually, we're not sure if the Paw Print ever had a motto, but it's time to get one. Your job is to come up with a motto for the PP! Just in case that wasn't obvious. What kind of motto? Well, it can be practically anything, but keep in mind that we're Gryffindor and we're all irrevocably insane, off-our-rockers. Rewards! Not only will the winners get everlasting glory by having their banners on the new Paw Print website, they will also receive... 1st Place: 50 beans and 100 rubies! 2nd Place: 25 beans and 50 rubies! 3rd Place: 10 beans 25 rubies! All other submissions will each receive 5 beans each, 20 rubies, and have a chance at also being voted on and added to the Gryffindor Paw Print site. Contest Information! All submissions must be uploaded to a photo-sharing site. i.e: Photobucket, etc. You can submit up to three banners and three mottos...or three banner!mottos. Due Date: October 21st, 11:59pm HOL time! or else! Send your submissions to gryffpawprint@yahoo.com with your name and den. If you are staff and you don't have a den...Make something UP.
  18. Gryffindor Prose and Cons Thank you to everyone who submitted Prose and Cons for September! We had a really good laugh over the captions and really enjoyed the stories and poetry. They were all really great. Moving on! ___ Each month all of the houses of HOL have the opportunity to earn 30 points through the Gryffindor Paw Print. These points of awesome will be broken up into 3 different parts: Caption Contest, Story Challenge, and Poetry. Each Prose and Cons issue is normally themed, and this month's theme is... THINGS YOU HATE/DISLIKE! Shouldn't be too hard, right? <_< Caption Challenge: (Worth a maximum of 10 points; 5 points per caption. To get the full 10 points, you must submit a caption for each photo, or 2 captions for 1 photo. The caption can be pretty much anything.) EXAMPLE: From a past Prose and Cons caption submission: http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo285/G...Longbottom2.jpg Write a caption for the photos below! 1. http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo285/G...awPrint/PP1.png 2. http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo285/G...awPrint/pp2.jpg Story Challenge: (250 words minimum, worth a maximum of 10 points. You must write, at least, 250 words of a story to get credit for this Prose and Cons. There is no maximum. The more the merrier.) Using your superior wit, intelligence and creativity, write a story about something you just don't like. For instance, I would write a story about driving in a muggle car with muggle drivers who cannot drive and jinxing their wheels off! I dislike bad drivers. >_> Poetry Challenge - The theme is Things You Dislike pattern!: (Worth a maximum of 10 points; 5 points per poem. To get the full 10 points, you must submit 2 poems that are, at least, 10 lines each, or 1 massive poem equalling 20 lines. Can be free lance poetry, haikus, ect.) ___ All Prose and Cons submissions must be turned in by October 20th by 11:59PM HOL time. 1. Email all entries to: gryffproseandcons@yahoo.com 2. Include your HOL name, HOL ID, and House in the subject AND body of the email. 3. You may email the entries in separately, but to avoid confusion, it's best to email all of your submissions together. Please make sure your caption links work and they're direct links. We had only a couple issues with links that failed to work this last time around. Any questions or suggestions can be messaged to me by the main HOL Site or in a PM on the forum. We look forward to reading and seeing all of your submissions!
  19. Feels back for Elle Xander because that is a really silly professor rule.

    1. Chadwick Cadet

      Chadwick Cadet

I don't know, seems like a honest mistake/miscommunication. Nothing to get too harsh about.

    2. Prof. Jenny Lupin

      Prof. Jenny Lupin

Yeah, it wasn't expressed very clearly. I'd give her an exception given that it is Sept. >_>

    3. Aurora Lestrange

      Aurora Lestrange

Elle, I meant the other classes you are currently taking, not any classes from the past. Truly nothing against you, but I thought when people made comments here I could comment back, as I'm curious.
