Charm Your Own Cheese - Task 1

One of the most fascinating chapters from the expanded edition is on “cheese based potions” (I have so many questions…)

Please suggest at least 3 cheese based potions to be found in the book and introduce us to them – what do they do? What’s in them? Who created them and why (most importantly, why cheese?)? Would you try them?

1. Cheesy Potion - As the name may suggest, this potion makes the consumer cheesy. No, not in the physical sense, but verbally! While often embarrassing to the drinker, those around them can find some amusement at their expense. It was created by Jonah Geldington, who insisted cheese was needed for the full effect. It's not something many wizards would try, myself included.

2. Feta Luck -  This potion, strangely enough, increases one's luck! It was created by Erin Roulf, who claims feta cheese is needed, as the lousy pun is what unlocks the luck effect. It'd known to taste horrid, but it does have results, so I may try it once.

3. Teeth Whitening Potion - You wouldn't think cheese would be a factor in teeth whitening, but in this potion, it is! The creator, Maggie Mortez, discovered that using a yellow-colored cheese in this potion will help absorb yellow tones in teeth! I would try this potion to see if it truly has that effect.

Swiss cheese potion - It is made of Swiss cheese, moth wings, snake fangs, horklump bristles, and nettles. It makes one's skin look holey (with holes). Swiss wizard Benedicto Gorgio suggested that the Swiss cheese ingredient improves the taste of the potion and is vital to the effect. I would try it for a Halloween make-up.

Mozarella swirl - This potion makes the drinker bouncy and makes them swirl on the spot and makes them have fun, and if anyone says cheese to them, they keep smiling incessantly for 30 minutes from 1 vial of potion. Ingredients of this potion are a big slab of mozarella cheese, gorgonzola cheese, turnip, snake scales, whole flobberworms, and flobberworm mucus. Created by French witch Mozie Gorgon. Mozie said that the whey of mozarella cheese is so delicious that one can make a potion with it for having fun. The antidote is Swiss cheese. I will try it because I like to have fun.

Pizza potion - It is made of mozarella cheese, cheddar cheese, barbeque sauce, butterfly cocoons, dragon liver (makes the cheese taste permanent), yeast extract, and pineapple extract. It makes the drinker taste pizza in everything for 1 hour. It's creator was Madam Pepperoni Bonita who loved cheezy pizzas. She thought that all food should taste like pizza so she found a way to make the flavours of cheddar cheese, mozarella cheese, and barbeque sauce permanent on her tongue. I will try it because pizza is my favourite food.
