  1. I don't think that physical play will reduce significantly with the rise of virtual reality (VR) games and such. There definitely is something very different to when you play games, such as soccer, in real life rather than through a VR headset as you can actually control ball physics, how you run, etc. rather than everything being dictated by lines of code for the most part. I see VR being an immersion experience tool for games where the content of the specific game is not usually encountered in real life, like any of the horror games. Furthermore, I feel that technology lacks the human bond and camaraderie that comes with playing with your friends around a table, or at the park, etc.
  2. I slap Adaleine for being in the HQT!
  3. I slap Tarma because the rum is all gone!
  4. Not that I remember, so false! Has ever been anywhere in Canada?
  5. I slap Adaleine for slapping Lora so many times!
  6. Creaothceann is a game that comes to mind immediately. In retrospect, this game can be altered to introduce safe elements to the game, rather than having a cauldron strapped on your head with boulders falling down from the sky - instead of a cauldron one could strap on a basket and replace boulders with some sort of a soft ball (which could be bewitched to not bounce out of your basket if you manage to successfully get under it). There were just too many safety hazards, not to forget that people actually died playing this game (rather unsurprisingly) and so this game has been banned since 1762.
  7. I definitely do not mind tweaks to the rules in games that my friends and I play. It makes things interesting and adds a new element to any game, and it also brings out the little game creator within all of us! Monopoly is one of the first games that comes to mind, in which the way that we play, we allow for a merger between 2 players possible without having to go through the hassle of selling existing properties of Player B at half-price to the bank first and then for Player A to buy the properties back from the bank.
  8. I'd call Tarma as she's incredibly organized, and she's a Charms professor, so the work should be a piece of cake for her! ^_^ You walk out to the grounds when all of a sudden, an owl smacks into your face! After a moment of confusion and bewilderment, you notice the owl attempting to unsuccessfully fly away. Upon closer inspection, you see that it's right wing seems broken and needs to be tended to. Who you gonna call?
  9. I could: Use the Disillusionment Charm when playing hide and seek, which allows me to sneak behind the seeker (and silently snicker while they try to find me!) Cast Accio to get more poker chips from players when they aren't looking Use the Slowing Charm (Arresto Momentum) in the game of soccer to alter the ball's physics to my favour Cast the Bubble-Head Charm onto myself to be able to swim underwater for as long as I want and hence, be sneaky during water-polo Use Imperio on the person that I'm doing a trade deal with in Monopoly, so that I get the best deals without them realising its a bad deal (for them)
  10. Happy Birthdayy Lora!!! Hope you have an amazing day! ^_^
  11. I like both individual and team games, but I think I prefer team ones better as it involves a lot of collaboration and discussion, as well as learning from all parties involved and I really enjoy that. That is why I love playing soccer because it allows for all the things that make team work so great, as well as it lets people bring out their own individual flair and abilities. I rather be in a team than an individual as I feel my strengths lie within working in a team environment.
