  1. Unfortunately, that calm only lasted for about 5 minutes before people started shouting and brawling.
  2. Guilty. Turned in a paper that you didn't write and got away with it?
  3. Oh, absolutely. Though not when people are generally supposed to be sleeping. Has compacted garbage in the trash can for as long as possible just so you don't have to change the bag.
  4. One of my favorite online games to play when I'm feeling stressed is called Bubble Spinner. You're basically faced with a hexagon of little orbs on a rotating center fulcrum and you have a cannon where you can shoot one orb out at a time, trying to match it with orbs of the same color. If you match a group of three or more together, they fall off the circle. Your goal is to get everything gone from that board so that you're left with just the center fulcrum dot, then you level up. If you miss or don't match any matches a few times, then more orbs get added to the board. If the grid extends enough that it touches the outside wall, your game is over. Essentially, it's a mindless fun with some very repetitive zen music the background, so I find it very nice to play after I've had a stressful day. I guess that could still be entertaining, but I don't have many entertainments I'd consider stress relieving.
  5. I actually kind of enjoy that technology in video games seems to have brought out more of the people who would rather play board games or sports. Like okay, yes, it's fun to sit at home and play Mario Party on the 64 (because I'm too old school for new Nintendo), but there's a board game store in the corner of a shopping complex near us that no one would really notice, but if feels like a super fun secret to those who do know about it. I also find that people who play video game sports only do it to augment their activity with the actual sport in most cases. Fantasy football and the NFL video games are so much a thing during regular football season, but the same people playing are those watching football every Sunday, playing it at school, coaching it, etc. I don't think those things will ever go away.
  6. I slap Ivey because I'm overly excited that she's back from vacation.
  7. Absolutely true. Every day. Has pretended to be interested in an activity or event just to hang out with friends/family who were genuinely interested.
  8. I slap Sky for always doing way too much without taking enough time to relax.
  9. False. Has claimed a false dietary restriction to avoid eating something someone else cooked.
  10. The ancient game of Patolli was played in ancient Mesoamerica, including the Aztecs, Toltecs, and the Mayan people. The board for this game was shaped like an X, and the object is to get all of your tokens across the game board before the other team does. Five or six blacks beans with a dot on one side were used as dice, while six blue or red beans, kernels of corn, or pieces of jade were used as game markers. This game often involved gambling, as the winning players won whatever the other team bet as a prize. Players would bet things like blankets, plants, or food, but the more serious players would risk their homes or family members! The movement rules seem quite complicated, but the game ends when one player has won all of the other player's bet objects. If all of the beans landed with their dots up, the player automatically wins all of the goods. More information here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patolli
  11. I'd likely call Amy, because she's caretaker and is quite skilled at mending the broken and rescuing people. You sort of lied when you told your romantic interest that you're excellent at ballroom dancing, and he or she wants to twirl you around the dance floor and show off your moves at a wedding tomorrow. Who you gonna call today to give you a crash course so that you don't crash?
  12. 1. Tarantallegra would be perfect to use during a game of Twister, because you can't possibly keep yourself on the colored dots if you're dancing. 2. Evanesco would be perfect for completely confusing someone by making their game piece disappear for a turn. They'd be intently searching, you'd play a round, and then magically make it reappear during the next round like nothing ever happened. 3. Sonorus would be funny during a good, old fashioned game of telephone, unless you really do want the twisted version of the phrase at the end. 4. Protego would be hilarious during a contact game like dodge ball. You'd win every time, and people might be surprised by the ball bouncing away from you. 5. Confundo could make a logical game like Clue interesting. You could confuse someone and get them a blank notes sheet...
  13. I think twists are meant to keep things interesting. The only example I can think of right now is when we played Jumanji when I was older, we turned the 'in the jungle you must wait until you roll a five or eight' into just rolling an eight. It kept the game going a little bit longer, caused a little more hilarious frustration, and just made it more adjusted to the difficulty we wanted to experience. If it's finding a loophole in the rules that allows you to outright cheat and take away the integrity of the game or you as a player, then I think that's not right. Twists need to be agreed upon by all players to keep the fun going.
  14. Walk Away - Kelly Clarkson What's your pet's name (or favorite nickname)?
  15. I think this all depends on what I'm playing and what my mood is at the time. I'm not an athlete by any means and have never been part of any organized sports. In that respect, I've never felt that kind of team spirit with regard to athletic games. I do find that I'm very competitive at certain solo activities, such as Mario Party on video games or mini-golfing, but I also enjoy playing things like bags, where you're essentially two vs. two. Ultimately, I shy away from competition and I don't like to feel like I'm the one bringing the team down from lack of skill, but I also don't like embarrassing myself when I'm solo and look bad in front of others. Because of this, I would always prefer games within small groups where the competition wouldn't be on a necessarily grand scale, whether that's solo or with a partner or two.
  16. Definitely blue. Would you rather revisit the past or see the future?
  17. Oh gosh, both? But if I had to pick one, sleep in late. NOT a morning person. Would you rather be in the pool or sunbathing?
