  1. With the Fat Lady gone, there's no one to guard the entrance to our common room! We are now enlisting student volunteers to stand guard outside the door (currently being magically propped open) to keep watch in case anyone or anything suspicious tries to enter. The game will work like this: The first person posts a person or thing that is entering the common room. The next person says they take guard duty from person A and explains how to keep whatever person A said was coming from entering the common room. You earn 2 rubies per post for your first 5 posts. I expect you students to guard our common room bravely, don't let me down. For instance, Person 1: A niffler is coming to the door. Person 2: I take guard from person 1 and ward the niffler away by throwing a shiny coin down the hallway. I see Filch approaching. First situation: Someone's pet rat is approaching the door.
  2. You should all know by now that I have tried many times to join the Headless Hunt, but they will not allow me to join - ridiculous (as is their reasoning)! Having my background, I know quite a bit about battles and how to emerge victorious (I'd be quite a valuable addition to the Headless Hunt in my opinion). I've heard rumors that some of you are rather skilled in this area of expertise as well... so I will be testing each and every one of you. Prove to me you know your strategy and how victory happens! This game works as follows: The first person will answer who they think would win a battle and then post two more HP characters. The next person will answer and present two more and so on. You have to have a good amount of reasoning of why you think that character would win for each choice so you can't simply write down the winner's name. These can be who you seriously think would win or something a bit more ridiculous. You will earn two rubies per post for your first five posts. Let the battles begin! The first two characters are: Bellatrix Lestrange and Fenrir Greyback.
  3. Since the Fat Lady went missing, I have been thinking about her much more than normal. One thing that recently occurred to me was her sense of style. Am I the only one who noticed she always wore the same thing? We need to do something about that so she has quite a wardrobe to come back to when we find her. I am tasking you all with the job of designing new clothes for the Fat Lady. You can do this in a graphic, describing them in at least 80 words, or by using a doll maker for 20 rubies. Submit your designs by 11:59 PM HOL-time on the 31st of October and you'll earn the password to the next location, as well as those 20 rubies.
  4. Gather around, gather around everyone! I am Sir Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington (that is not Nearly Headless Nick - where you all come up with this I have no idea). I need something shiny to recognize you all by, so you all must begin wearing name tags showing off your Gryffindor Pride. Create a signature and/or avatar for Gryfftoberfest 2020! Creating a signature earns you 20 rubies and an avatar earns you 5 rubies. If you use the Gryfftoberfest Motto in your signature, you will receive an extra 5 rubies! If for accessibility reasons you'd prefer to describe your siggy/avatar instead, go ahead in at least 100 words! Complete this by 11:59 pm HOL time October 31st.
