The Jungle Day Adventure Story
by Hannah Lovegood
One day, I decided to go to the jungle with my two buddies, Willow and Windy. Willow and Windy are two little girls that I rescued from a Basilisk. I decided to put on some leopard print Converse sneakers and I put little pairs on them, some ripped-up jeans, and a Hawaiian shirt. I put Windy in a leopard print dress to go along with her sneakers and I put her hair back in 2 little French braids. I put Willow in a leopard print shirt with black jeans and her hair back in 2 little buns. I gave them each little Harry Potter walkie-talkies. Then I put on a cheetah print backward baseball cap and I gave Willow and Windy matching caps too. Then I grabbed my new purple and clear backpack with a phone and a sketchpad in it. I slid my wand into my bag. Willow grabbed her cheetah print backpack. I gave Windy a backpack that said, “I heart zebras.” Then, I grabbed a whole bunch of snacks and filled my backpack up with them. I gave Willow a whole bunch too.
Then, I grabbed the girls’ hands and we went through the door and I locked it up. I jumped in my safari jeep. Then, I put the girls’ car seats in the back. Then, I put them in their car seats. Then, I jumped in my seat and headed off. But, before I left, I got a raft boat in the back. We drove for about an hour, then I stopped the car, got out to check on how wild the river is, and then I got back in the jeep and unbuckled Willow and Windy. I made sure they had their bags and their walkie-talkies. Then, all 3 of us jumped out. Then, I grabbed the raft boat. I put it in the water. Then, I put on my life jacket and I helped the girls put on theirs. I had their helpful thing that I could clip their lifejackets onto mine.
Then, I got in and we started paddling. I paddled for about half an hour. Then, I stopped our boat and tied it up to the shore. We jumped out and then I put our lifejackets underneath the seats. I made sure everybody had their stuff. Then, we started into the jungle.
We did a quick check to make sure our walkie-talkies worked. I went into the jungle a little. Willow went down the shore a little bit and Windy went down the shore the other direction. I asked, “Are you girls in your places?” The first response I got was from Willow. “Yes, I am,” she said. Then I got a response from Windy. “Can we go home now? I’m really tired,” she said. I said, “Ok. I’m going to come to get you and you can ride in the carrying pack.” Then, I ran out of the jungle and over to Windy. I put her in the cheetah print carrying pack. Then Willow ran over to me and I put Willow on my shoulders. Then, we started into the jungle again.
We saw a cheetah far away. I also saw a lion. The lion wasn’t that nice but I saw one of its little cubs. Its cub was really friendly so I petted it. Then, I saw an eagle up in the tree. Then, I saw a snake slithering around in a tree. Then, I saw a little badger and I petted the badger. Then, I saw a cheer-up bird. Then I saw a lizard. I petted the lizard. Then I saw a raven. Really, really far away I saw a wolf, which I took a photo of. Then, pretty close I saw a basilisk so I ran really fast all the way back. I jumped back into the boat and held Willow and paddled really fast. When we got back to our jeep, I saw the basilisk trying to eat some of the clouds up in the sky. Then, I drove us back to my house and when we got back to the house, all 3 of us made a jungle collage.
