Spring has arrived at Hogwarts! The weather is steadily improving, the term is moving on apace and there are plenty of things going on around the castle.
In Gryffindor, it’s been an interesting few months. We had a riot with Ready, Set, Scavenge back in February curtesy of the fabulous Lorania. March was meant to be a chilled month after that but someone thought it would be an excellent idea to release Cornish pixies in the roleplay area and absolute chaos ensued. Many thanks to all the HOLers who stepped up to help us tidy up that mess.
For April, we’re inviting you to spring into action. Join us for fun activities based around practical relaxation like cookery and craft. You could also venture out to the greenhouses for this month’s roleplay. There’s plenty of repotting to be done! These can be found under ‘Current Activities’ over on The Den.
If you head over to the Departments page, you’ll find fresh projects to get stuck into. The Art Department are busy decorating eggs and kites, whereas the Library are peeking at ministry memos and getting mystical with prophesies. There are house points up for grabs, don’t forget!
The clubs are busy as ever. Over on Hollers there are new challenges and a visit to Neptune curtesy of the Creative Outlet. In the Book Club, Book Bingo is going strong. If you’d like to add some shiny awards to your profile come the end of the school year, you should check out the prompts available in Quill and Ink, Ink Splatters and Between the Pages too.
Ravenclaw are inviting all HOL to join them for a picnic in the park; head over to The Roost to learn more (but watch out for wasps!). Over in Hufflepuff they’re all loved up for Wonders of the World – make sure you stop by the Creative Club while you’re over in the Sett as well. Last but by no means least, there’s still time to join Slytherin on a thrilling Spring Staycation or join in with the last few chapters of Deathly Hallows in the Harry Potter Read Along.
That’s all from me this time round. I hope you have fun wherever you wander off too but remember to stick around long enough to read our fabulously retro issue first!
