Graphics Club Leader Applications

Are you an avid Graphic maker? Or do you enjoy looking at the shiny things others make? Want to help run a club dedicated to sharing ideas, tips and graphics? Then this application is for you. :P

The Gryffindor Staff are looking to open a new area of the forum for the Graphics Club. We're looking for 2-3 dedicated and hard-working people to set up and lead the club. This includes developing the rules, sub-areas, etc. You'll be working together to brainstorm and then will lead it through the year.

Since this area doesn't exist yet, we need individuals who are motivated, creative, and willing to stick this this for the long-term. If this is you, definitely apply!

This is a graphics club, so we would prefer if the leaders had graphic experience. The more the better. This would help greatly with some of the ideas the staff had, which you can find below. However, we're willing to consider choosing a person as a leader who does not have graphics experience but who displays leadership qualities, interesting ideas, lots of enthusiasm and a love of graphics/artwork.

To give you a general feeling for the club to see if you are interested, here are a few of our ideas. While it will be mostly left up to the leaders, we'd like to see some things in this club such as tutorials or tips on how to do graphics, an area for anyone to show off their graphics, and a requests area (whether these can be filled by anyone in the house, just the leaders, or a team you'll create applications for, is completely up to you). The rest is up to you. ^__^

3. What makes you a good candidate to lead the Graphics Club? (Qualities, Prior Leadership Experience, etc)

4. What do you think is an essential feature for the graphics club, and why do you think it is important?

5. Would you feel comfortable leading people in a graphics workshop? If you don't feel comfortable, would you feel comfortable having someone else help lead such a workshop with you assisting?

6. Do you feel that you would not be biased or come down on someone who is not good at making graphics, but gives good attempts at trying, even though their product is not very good?

7. Do you think you could make this a fun and interesting venture in Gryffindor? (Coz we're totally after the fun).

These last three relate to graphic making. If you have no experience, just put that. :)

8. Do you have any graphic making experience? If yes, tell us about it. What software do you use, how long have you been doing it, etc.

9. Do you think you have the experience necessary to help others with their graphics (can you explain how/when to use a certain feature or tool)?

10. Please provide us with at least 3 examples of your work or a link to an online portfolio.
