Prof. Zenix James 30 Posted September 25, 2011 Gryffindor Prose and Cons Thank you to everyone who submitted Prose and Cons for September! We had a really good laugh over the captions and really enjoyed the stories and poetry. They were all really great. Moving on! ___ Each month all of the houses of HOL have the opportunity to earn 30 points through the Gryffindor Paw Print. These points of awesome will be broken up into 3 different parts: Caption Contest, Story Challenge, and Poetry. Each Prose and Cons issue is normally themed, and this month's theme is... THINGS YOU HATE/DISLIKE! Shouldn't be too hard, right? <_< Caption Challenge: (Worth a maximum of 10 points; 5 points per caption. To get the full 10 points, you must submit a caption for each photo, or 2 captions for 1 photo. The caption can be pretty much anything.) EXAMPLE: From a past Prose and Cons caption submission: http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo285/G...Longbottom2.jpg Write a caption for the photos below! 1. http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo285/G...awPrint/PP1.png 2. http://i384.photobucket.com/albums/oo285/G...awPrint/pp2.jpg Story Challenge: (250 words minimum, worth a maximum of 10 points. You must write, at least, 250 words of a story to get credit for this Prose and Cons. There is no maximum. The more the merrier.) Using your superior wit, intelligence and creativity, write a story about something you just don't like. For instance, I would write a story about driving in a muggle car with muggle drivers who cannot drive and jinxing their wheels off! I dislike bad drivers. >_> Poetry Challenge - The theme is Things You Dislike pattern!: (Worth a maximum of 10 points; 5 points per poem. To get the full 10 points, you must submit 2 poems that are, at least, 10 lines each, or 1 massive poem equalling 20 lines. Can be free lance poetry, haikus, ect.) ___ All Prose and Cons submissions must be turned in by October 20th by 11:59PM HOL time. 1. Email all entries to: gryffproseandcons@yahoo.com 2. Include your HOL name, HOL ID, and House in the subject AND body of the email. 3. You may email the entries in separately, but to avoid confusion, it's best to email all of your submissions together. Please make sure your caption links work and they're direct links. We had only a couple issues with links that failed to work this last time around. Any questions or suggestions can be messaged to me by the main HOL Site or in a PM on the forum. We look forward to reading and seeing all of your submissions! Share this post Link to post
