Last week our wonderful Fumei had a birthday. But for some strange reason, she's been very sad. It's like she sits in the corner looking sad. I'm not quite sure what's wrong with her... maybe she's finally gone mad from all that working she does as a nurse.... I'm not really sure. We're certainly worried, though... I know one way to fix it, though. There's a Paw Print issue that Fumei wants to put out. She has a dream for this issue.... that it's the best issue of the Paw Print we've ever had. But to make this happen, we need amazing articles! So... in order to make Fumei happy again... we're going to need everyone who loves Fumei to turn in some articles over the next few days. No idea what to write about? Write about Spring. Write about a movie, book, video game, television show, musical album, or anything else you've recently been around that you've liked (or hated... but no spoilers, please)! Maybe that controversial How I Met Your Mother finale. Write about all the reasons you love Fumei in celebration of her birthday! Write an Ode to Peeves. Write a short story, or poetry. Tell us about a new recipe you tried... then give us the recipe! Write about how you are terrible at writing. Write about how much you love or hate I Love Hogwarts (and how evil the tasks were)! You can be a Gryffindor and write. You can be a first year and write. You can even be from another house and write. And you also get house points! Gather one, gather all, for Fumei and Hailey have a fresh bunch of Gryffindor awards to give out for the first term of the school year! For Exploding Snap Award, this lion has humored her way into the hearts of many Gryffindor Common Room inhabitants. Through her funny comments and hilarious updates, she keeps us laughing as long as she is around! Everyone give a hearty laugh for Angel Blackstone! For the Golden Snitch Award, I can say a lot about this lion. This girl has been such a blessing for Gryffindor this past term. She is always so willing to jump in and help out, especially when no one else will. Another thing I love about this girl is that not only is she willing to help up, but she gives way more than required. She will do what you ask and more to make sure the job gets done. We have all been very thankful for her. It is with much happiness that I present this award to Guinevere Avalon. Next up is the Lively Lionet Award. This is one lion we've all seen around. Not only has she participated on Gryffindor and in her classes, but she's also participated in HOL activities as well. She's active in her den and does her part to earn her den rubies. We would like to congratulate with lively meows Ciara Black. We then have our very special Phoenix Award. This winner is one of the top Gryffindors. She ran activities during Gryfftoberfest, (including allowing Hailey to petrify her during the entirety of Gryfftoberfest), hoarded all the Gryffindor holiday decorations so that the house could return Winter back to Gryffindor, and kept generating ideas for the Paw Print. Give a phoenix shriek for Fumei Shirokuro! For Consistent Cub Award, this lion may not be the top point earner but she sure put a good game of trying to keep up with Fumei. She does everything asked, wanted, or needed of her and more, including keeping all of us in line. Everyone give your best roar for Hailey Potter! Our favorite Studious Simba Award winner this term goes to a simba who worked hard to score almost 1000 points while also keeping active around the Gryffindor halls. She earned the respect of many lions for taking Prof. Lobiesk's Scribbling Shack class. We appreciate this dedication to HOL in Gryffindor, and we certainly wanted to reward her for her accomplishments and to acknowledge her journey to becoming a Gryffindor Class A point hoarder with Hailey and Fumei. We congratulate Ciara Black with a loud applause. Now, for our non-Gryffindor award, the Lionheart Award. This HOLer is very encouraging of the Gryffindor Quidditch Team. Before and after each GQT game, she tells the GQT that they played well. She has even offered to allow GQT members to practice with HQT members. We would like to give a loud red and gold cheer for Prof. Tarma Black! The last award we have voted for is Nimbus 2000 Award. This lion is receiving this award for many of the reasons already listed above. In addition, she also does an awesome job in inviting and guiding newbie Gryffindors into the welcoming arms of HOL. We give another loud stomp for Fumei Shirokuro! Last we have our top Gryffindor points awards. With a total of 1186 points, we'd like to congratulate Sky Alton with the top first year honor: the Curious Kitten Award! With a total of 2022 points, the Platinum Quill Award, of course, goes to Fumei Shirokuro!

While trying to find motivation to do your homework (Yes, I know how that feels, currently feeling it right now!), it might be hard. However, thanks to Natasha Wytnerborne, we can ask ourselves a question that will make all the difference: What would Hermione do? This was found on the walls of a building at a university in Utah.
