A Roaring Round-Up

Welcome to this issue of the Paw Print and to the end of another magic-filled year at HOL. Just because classes have finished though, that doesn’t mean there’s nothing going on around this fine old castle of ours. We’re witches and wizards after all: we always have something marvellous brewing.

There’s still time to join in on Gryffindor’s latest activity. We’re flexing our spell-casting muscles and showing off our wand-waving in a little Spell-ing Bee. There’s also a few more days left to enjoy some summer sunshine in June’s roleplay. Remember that this is your last chance to earn yourself a few rubies before we hand out the prize for collecting the most this term.

We have something rather special planned for the summer as well. We’ll be jetting off to the Wizarding World’s very first film festival. Expect glamourous outfits, dramatic entrances, popcorn and much more as we celebrate the silver screen. Things kick-off on 12th July. Remember that you’re always welcome in The Fat Ladies Portrait or to make some Mischief in Peeves’ Place too.

Speaking of special events, there is a party of epic proportions about to take place over on the HOL forum. 2021 means it’s 20 years since HOL first opened so we’re marking the anniversary in style. Starting on July 4th, there will be 4 weeks of fun and HOL history to enjoy. Come reminisce and celebrate with us! You’ll even get a head start on earning house points for next year.

There are other things planned for the summer, of course. The departments will have projects running throughout July and August. The Book Club also has one of its celebrated reading challenges planned with a slight twist for extra excitement. You can also spend time with all 3 of the other houses as they’re bound to have entertaining things on offer.

Thank you all for another wonderful year. However you choose to spend your summer, I hope you have an amazing time. But first… Please enjoy this wild and free issue of The Paw Print.
