Believe it or not, we’re nearing the end of June. Classes have wrapped up and everyone’s anxiously awaiting the result of this year’s house cup race (and what a race it’s been). Don’t think for one second that the castle is about to go to sleep for the summer though. Oh no, that’s not how we do things round here.
In Gryffindor, we’ve been enjoying ourselves planning and attending the End of Year Feast. It’s the last chance to earn rubies this year – the top ruby earners will be honoured along with our other winners when the house awards are released sometime in early July. There’ll also be the chance to make up and present your own prizes so you better brush up on your acceptance speeches!
It won’t be long until we’re off on our next adventure. Going Global, an exciting international jaunt around 4 other wizarding schools, starts on July 6th. My time as Prefect in Charge is at an end due to graduation, so I’ll be leaving you in Iverian and Lorainia’s more than capable hands. Don’t get lost!
There are rumours of something exciting (dare I say entrepreneurial) happening on the HOL forum during the summer. Make sure you keep checking back for signs of that. It will be a great way to pass the time, have fun with other HOLers and even get a head start on filling those hourglasses with house points for the next school year. Speaking of, the Art and Library Departments will still be open over the summer with new and exciting projects to complete. The Clubs on the main forum are always up to some kind of hijinks too. Our fellow houses also have ways to pass those lazy hazy days of summer so make sure you keep paying them a visit throughout the next 2 months. You’re in no danger of being bored, that’s for sure.
Whether you’re taking it easy over the summer or plan to delve into everything there is to do, I hope you have a wonderful time.
