Welcome back to the Paw Print! It’s an exciting time on HOL as we’re bidding adieu to one term and embarking on the next. There is new homework to do, projects to complete and mischief to manage.
In Gryffindor, we had a busy January as JP Adaleine had us imagining what would happen if the teachers from Harry’s time at Hogwarts swapped places. While some of our fictional teachers flourished under these strange circumstances, others proved that it’s sometimes best to stick to what you know. There’s no time to rest as we’re off on another adventure, with Lorainia leading the charge on a Den-wide scavenger hunt. Head over to the ‘Ready, Set, Scavenge’ forum for more details.
It was a truly sensational term for leonine achievements – I can’t wait to see what happens next. We’ve celebrated a few of those efforts with our End of Term Awards. Stop by the announcements forum to catch up on who got what and snag yourself a large butterbeer. Make sure you stop by Madam Pince’s Board afterwards to get a head start on earning points for this term.
Elsewhere on HOL, class signups have opened! Make sure you put your name down for any classes that interest you and get working on those assignments. The departments are going strong with February Projects, so if art and/or writing is your thing then that’s the place to be. On the forum, the clubs also have plenty to keep you occupied. In addition to the regular Hollers puzzle challenges, you can sink your teeth into the offerings in the Creative Outlet (who wouldn’t want to journey to Mercury?). The Book Club are playing a rousing game of Book Bingo. It runs all term so you should definitely go and grab yourself a card.
As ever, our fellow houses are worth a visit. Slytherin are letting their hair down with the annual Winter Fling and Hufflepuff are jetting over to New York to help with some creature chaos. All 3 houses always have regular activities and discussions to get involved with as well.
That’s all for this Round-Up. Enjoy this legendary issue of the Paw Print and have a splendid term.
