A Roaring Round up

Spring has well and truly sprung and we are progressing through another term in leaps and bounds (okay, I’ll stop). The castle is full of new and returning students and luckily, we have plenty to keep everyone occupied.

Gryffindor is doing sensationally in the cup standings this year. For those who don’t know, we have never held onto third place for so long in recent years so keep up the excellent work, lions! Keep handing in that homework, checking Madam Pince’s Board for other ways to earn house points and being as active as you possibly can. Let’s see it through!

Over on the Common Room, we’re just returning from an exciting camping trip out in the wild, organised by our Junior Prefect, Lorainia. Many congratulations to her on successfully guiding us all through various outdoorsy calamities and back home to the warm embrace of creature comforts (I personally cannot wait to get back to the Prefects Bathroom). We’ll be taking it easy in May but remember to check out Gone Questing for your monthly dose of adventure and the chance to earn rubies. The clock is ticking for those of you who want to try your hand at earning our shiny award for gathering the most Gryffindor gems at the end of the school year.

We have one final Quidditch Match as well on May the 16th. Come and cheer on GQT! If you’d like to try your hand at the wizarding world’s favourite sport, pay a visit to Cubs with Clubs where you can read all about how to practice and even join the team. I hear rumours that the top secret team locker room has just been refurbished at great expense so you don’t want to miss that.

Further afield, there’s soon going to be a HOL-wide activity of cosmic proportions in a galaxy far far away (well, the HOL forum). There will be house points and fun to be had so keep a sharp look out for that. As ever, there’s plenty of interest to be found in the HOL Clubs on the main forum, the departments and also in the other Common Rooms. Never be afraid to explore.

That’s all for this particular roaring round-up. I hope you all have an amazing rest of the term!
