Ode to Kindle
My Kindle is a wonderful friend!
It means I can read all I want.
The room can be as black as night,
And I can enlarge the font.
I now carry hundreds and hundreds of books:
They take up no space at all.
They cost so much less than paperbacks
and they never yellow with age.
My only wish for my Kindle books
Is to share them with friends when I’m through.

What was there to do,
before this invention came,
blessing us all around.
Very versatile,
you can do most anything,
no one hates it now.
Eat it, dry it or,
throw it in a stew. Maybe
even clean with it.
We even mention
this all the time when we talk:
Best thing is sliced bread.

A Poem Written to Celebrate the Refurbishment of the Leaky Cauldron
Haven on the boarders
A warm welcome to all
Promptly serving orders
Never a drop does fall
A place to stay a while
To talk with some good friends
Haggle over toad spawn
Or galleons to lend
Daisy’s beloved old inn
Much longer may you last
see us through thick and thin
Now, Tom, hand me that glass
