Prof. Amy Lupin 9 Posted February 22 During these weeks together, you’ve got to know each of the crewmembers. All of them have a valuable role to play on the ship, and the ship wouldn’t have gotten as far as it has without their dedication and commitment. The captain has asked you to recognise one of the crewmembers who has gone over and above their responsibilities and give them special commendation. For this task, we’d like you to pick a crewmember and describe how they’ve contributed to the functioning of the ship and/or its crew. Include their name, their role, their rank/rating (if applicable) and any other details you’d like to share. Post your recommendations below by 23:59 HOL time on 28 February to earn 10 rubies. River Fenwick 4 Posted February 28 Today, we would like to recognize Lt. Kira Solis, AstroMed Supply's chief engineer and irreplaceable crew member. She has shown exceptional dedication and contributions to the ship and our company's purpose. She has been an instrumental and valuable member, ensuring the smooth operations of all critical machinery aboard our ship. Recently, there was a severe system failure in our engine, which she worked tirelessly on for over 24 hours to ensure we could remain on course and deliver our lifesaving cargo on time. Her knowledge in her field and quick actions have been used to keep this ship running countless times. She serves as an inspiration amongst those in her division and the crew as a whole, a pillar of our small crew-filled community aboard the ship. For her work, we are proud to award Lt. Kira Solis as the crew member of the month and a bump in pay to give back for all the hard work shown. Share this post Link to post
Scarlet Robloutain 0 Posted February 28 I want to give a huge shoutout to Lieutenant Sarah "Sparks" Martinez, our lead engineer. Sparks has been an absolute rockstar since day one. Not only does she keep the ship running smoothly, but she also goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is comfortable and safe. There was this one time when we hit a nasty patch of space debris, and the propulsion system took a serious hit. Sparks didn't even flinch. She rallied her team, worked around the clock, and had us back up and running in record time. Her quick thinking and technical skills saved us from what could have been a major disaster. But it's not just her engineering skills that makes her stand out. Sparks is always there to lend a hand or an ear to anyone who needs it. She's organised movie nights to keep morale high and even taught a few of us how to fix minor issues ourselves, empowering the crew and creating a sense of teamwork. Her dedication, expertise, and positive attitude have made a huge difference on this journey. We wouldn't be where we are without her. So, here's to you, Sparks. Share this post Link to post
