Getting to Hogwarts and Welcome Feast Discussion (Week 4)

Recommended Posts

We've finally arrived at the castle. The school year has officially started!

What about being at Hogwarts are you most excited about? Is it meeting new people, seeing old friends, classes, roaming the castle?

What are you looking forward to the most at the Welcome Feast? Is it the food, the sorting ceremony, finding out about new staff members?

Feel free to share anything relevant. You’ll need to write at least 100 words for full credit.

I am very excited about meeting new witches and wizards and getting to know them. I am looking forward to knowing who the new Professors and staff members for this term are. I would love to partake of the Hogwarts feast and taste food made by house- elves.

But what excites me most is the prospect of all the lovely things that I will get to do at Hogwarts. It starts from classes to duelling to playing magical board games like wizard's chess and making a few like-minded friends in the process. I am looking forward to cheering for Quidditch, having fun competing for the House Cup, and partaking in the loads of fun that Hogwarts has to offer. I love gobstones and trivia and I am looking forward to them. I am looking forward to checking the housepoints hourglasses with excitement in my heart and keeping constantly busy with my best efforts to contribute to them.

With the school year starting again, I'm excited to catch up with some old friends, check out my classes and their given Professors, and continue my roaming of the castle in an attempt to find all its secrets. I doubt I'll ever be able to find them all within seven years, but I'm determined.

As for the Welcome Feast, it's always been about the food for me! I suppose it's also nice to learn what new faces will be running around the common room, but unless they're from a family I know and are invested in, my priorities remain with the food.

I’m definitely looking forward to doing classes again! Seeing my friends again is also a big plus and I’m also so ready to try and find new shortcuts or secrets in the hallways of the castle, either alone or with my friends. The sorting ceremony is the best part of the Welcoming Feast because it’s really adorable to see all the new little firsties and seeing how excited and amazed they are. It’s so fun to remember when I was a first year and feeling the same emotions. The food though is very good and is in second place as a favorite. Being introduced to the new professors is cool as well because it’s exciting to know if there are new classes being offered that I can take.

I’m a first year this year, so I’m excited to see everything that Hogwarts has to offer. Making new friends, exploring the castle and getting stuck in with my classes. I’m looking forward to seeing how we’re sorted (though I’d be very surprised if I’m not in Ravenclaw considering how much I’ve enjoyed reading my new textbooks and can’t wait to put everything I’ve learned into practice!) I’ve heard that the feast is supposed to be amazing, so I’m looking forward to trying all the lovely food after a long day on the train.

I'm so excited to see all my friends again, and make some more friends, I also look forward to seeing who will become fellow Gryffindors and what students will be sorted into each house.

I love finding out if we are going to have new teachers and aboit what topic they will be teaching us. I love learning about new things and welcome all types of lessons.

But what I am most looking forward to is the welcome back feast. I absolutely love the food at hogwarts, they have so much to offer and I would love to try a bit of everything but don't think my stomach would thank me for that one.
