Gryffindor Staff and Who To Contact

In this post, you'll find the current staff of Gryffindor House and what positions they hold. You can also consult our guide down below if you have a matter you need to raise with one of us, but want to make sure you approach the right person!

 

CHAIN OF COMMAND

 

The chain of command is as follows.

 

Student → Junior Prefect → Prefect / professor → Prefect in Charge (if there is one) → Head of House

 

What the Different Ranks Mean

 

Junior prefects (JPs) are students who have volunteered to help out around the Common Room and may later become full prefects.

 

Full prefects help run Gryffindor but also have responsibilities to the whole school. The Prefect in Charge (PiC) oversees all the other prefects and junior prefects - we may not always have a PiC depending on the number and seniority of staff.

 

Professors are teachers who have chosen to be part of Gryffindor. They're not expected to help out around the Common Room but lots choose to do so.

 

The Head of House oversees everything related to Gryffindor, including appointing staff and making sure things run smoothly.

 

OUR STAFF

  The current head of house (HoH) is @Prof. Sky Alton

 

@Prof. Maxim Trevelyan currently serves as Deputy Head of House (DHoH)

Our prefect team currently consists of prefect @Janne Halla and junior prefect  @Lorainia Riverrider.

 

Who TO CONTACT

Junior Prefects and Prefects are your first port of call. They're here to help organise events and keep the house a safe, fun environment. If you're having an issue with someone or something in the house, please raise it with either a Junior Prefect or a Prefect. Even if they don't think they can deal with it, they will pass it on to the right people higher up in the chain of command.

 

Also, if you have an idea for Gryffindor, please pass that along to a Junior Prefect or a Prefect as they're always looking to work with students to improve the House.

 

If you feel an issue is particularly serious or you aren't comfortable discussing it with a Prefect, please approach the Head of House: she can talk to other authorities in HOL if needed.

@Reyyan Azkendra has made the difficult decision to step down as prefect to focus on RL college studies. Reyyan, a huge thank you for all your hard work for the house, very best of luck with your studies and we hope to see you back in The Den very soon. <3
