June Scenario: Summer Sunshine

Recommended Posts

The sun is hot on your face as you make your way down the gently sloping lawn. The lake is twinkling in the sunshine and the giant squid curls a languid tentacle above the surface (waving at you?). You can hear happy shrieks and the buzz of conversation: everyone is making the most of the good weather.

The Situation

Classes are over for the day and most of the school has headed out into the grounds to enjoy the summer sunshine. Will you head down to the lake for a paddle? Read under a tree? Or maybe have a fly in the very blue sky? The world’s your oyster.

Location

You can roleplay in and around the lake, as well as anywhere on the lawns (or in the sky above them). No straying into the forest though!

Remember to have a read of the guidelines before diving in. Have fun!

Hannah decided to sit down in a comfy hammock between 2 trees and look up at the clouds and try to decide what they are.  After a little while, she felt like stretching her legs so she reached into her backpack that she carries around with her and pulled out her roller skates.  She slipped them on, threw her regular shoes in her bag, and got up out of the hammock and went over to the path around the lake.  She rolled around a few times, then some of the people in the grass started to look up at her and point their fingers and say, "Oooh, that looks like a lot of fun."  Then, Fang came barreling at her so she stopped and gave him a big hug.  Then, they went back to her hammock where Hannah slipped her roller skates off and put her regular shoes back on.  Then, she went to the lake and got a boat and paddled around for a little bit.  Then she went back to her hammock to read with Fang where she fell asleep with Fang in her lap.

Then, Hannah decided to go on a boat on the lake.  So, she slid out of her hammock and ran down to the water with Fang chasing her.  When they got there, Hannah put a leash on Fang, then they put on their life jackets.  Then, they got into their boat.  Then, Hannah pulled out her sketchbook and started sketching out Fang at sunset in the boat.  Then, when they were at the other side, Hannah tied up their boat and they got out and Fang ran off while Hannah ran around the path.  Then, Hannah did a handstand and kept running on the path.  Then, Hannah went back to her hammock.  Then, Fang walked up to Hannah with her puppy in her mouth.  Then, Hannah lifted Fang up to sit with her while she stroked her puppy's head.  Then, Hannah left the hammock to let Fang sleep, while she went up onto a hill and played with the puppy.  Hannah named the puppy Scarlet because she had red ears and body.

Maxim finally managed to get some moment's peace. He had no obligations to fulfill, nothing to supervise, nothing to do, just some relaxation. He made his way to the lake, already noticing some wayward students and staff that were spending time there.

He took to one of the big trees that threw a nice, large shade onto the grass and flopped down at its base. He took out his needlepoint canvas and hummed softly to himself while losing himself in the repetitive motions.

It was a sunny day, the air was very cool, and Silvana had just finished all of her classes for today. She stuffed her school books into her bag quickly, decided to go back to the dorm and sleep but her eyes caught a novel inside her bag. It was a gift from her sister, which Silvana had not read until today. Grabbing her bag, she rushed outside to find a nice place to read the novel. Her feet stepped through the large door of the castle that led her to the Black Lake. There were very many students outside, some of them are her friends. Apparently, they were all enjoying their free time. Silvana's eyes searched for a tree that wasn't inhabited by anyone, choosing to stay away from the crowd. Finally, she sat on the ground while leaning against a tree trunk and then took out her novel, the cover was very unique. Open the first page and start reading it.

Finally dragging their feet out the great castle doors, Aure was ready for some serious rest. Now that the weather had warmed up plenty and it was almost perfect flying weather, Aure saw no reason to stay indoors to relax and it seemed like most of Hogwarts had the same idea. They took a moment to survey the grounds; it looked like most of the folks they knew were already engaged in some sort of activity, so they decided to take out a blanket and lie down out of the way of most foot traffic.

Once they had settled, they dug through their bag for a moment before deciding to summon the book they had been reading from deep within its depths. 'Everything always seems to settle to the bottom of the bag when you need it huh,' they thought airily. With this thought in mind, they laid back on the blanket and, after some adjusting, levitated the book about a foot above their face so their arms could take a rest.

After an hour or so, Maxim's fingers were starting to hurt just a tad. He carefully put the needle and thread away, wiggling his fingers in order to release the tension. Cracking them for good measure, Maxim rolled up the canvas and banished the lot to his rooms.

He wondered what to do next, whether to fly into the sky to stretch his flying muscles or take a dive in the lake. Choosing the latter option, Maxim waved his wand and his clothes disappeared and some modest swimming trucks were in their place.

"Maybe I'll find the Squid," Maxim said to himself aloud and jumped into the water, not caring if he splashed anyone nearby.
