  1. Please CC me into any solutions for this one. Prof. Trevelyan isn't able to be around as much as he'd like right now, so this way we can guarantee a quicker response.
  2. Approved Sara Kate Lovegood - Hufflepuff Visitor Rose Wall - First Year
  3. Remember you only have until 23:59 HOL-time on the 31st of October to get your tasks (and your orders to WWW) turned in!
  4. Posted on behalf of @Reyyan Azkendra Reyyan says.... Ey yo! How is your day going after all the pranks and chaos. I'm sure you're exhausted from having to do this and that. But, have you tried using a fake wand? Haha, did you get fooled because it looks very, very similar to your real wand? If it was me, I would have been fooled like er... a few days ago. But, I would honestly say that it's a lot of fun if done at the right time. Well, now it's time to tell me about your experience of being tricked by a fake wand in at least 120 words - what did it turn into and what happened as a result? I'll give you 20 Rubies if you post your experience below before 31 October at 23:59 HOL time.
  5. Well, this has been a Gryfftoberfest for the history books and no mistake. Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes are so impressed at all the pranking (and all the business that’s come their way) that they’d like to commemorate it somehow. Come up with a Gryffindor or Gryfftoberfest themed product that they could sell in the shop. You can either design a graphic representing your new product (perhaps a design for the box?) or describe the product in 100 words or more. You’ll earn 20 rubies if you post your idea below by 23:59 HOL-time on the 31st of October!
  6. I’m delighted to announce that Prof. Maxim Trevelyan has agreed to become Deputy Head of House for Gryffindor! He’s shown so much enthusiasm and commitment to the house since joining us as a professor - I’m sure he’s going to be brilliant. Celebratory butterbeers are on me!

  10. Oh the incredible things you can overhear with the stealthy help of an extendible ear! Since Gryfftoberfest began, the gossip in Gryffindor Tower has been flying thanks to these sneaky little strings. What rumours have you heard? The aim of this game is to tell a story about what someone might overhear with their extendible ears. We’ll each take it in turn to add a line to the story, following on from what the previous person has said. The story should take the form of conversations you’re overhearing, so it’s fine to use dialogue. For example: Person 1: “You’ll never guess what I saw when I was down at the lake this morning…” Person 2: “…there were these two Ravenclaw 5th years walking hand in hand, looking very loved up and then…” Person 3: “Professor McGonagall turned up, looking like she was about to breathe fire and she said…” There are a few rules: 1. Because this is gossip, we don’t want to use the names or identities of actual HOL members. Please use Harry Potter characters or create your own. 2. Each post should be at least 15 words long. 3. No posting back to back. Wait for someone else to contribute. 4. You need to respect what the person before you said. You can take it in a creative direction but you can’t completely ignore it and jump in with something unrelated that you like better. 5. If a particular story has run its course, you can finish it up and start another one. You’ll earn 5 rubies per post for your first 3 posts (so that’s 15 in total). The deadline is 23:59 HOL-time on the 31st of October! So, let’s start…. “You won’t believe what I just saw in the library. I was in the invisibility section when…”
  11. The folks at Weasley’s Wizard Wheezes know an opportunity when it parades in front of them, so they’ve decided to do a spot of market research while they have so many students interested in their products. They’d like you to submit your proposal for a new type of skiving Snackbox that includes what it is, what it does and why you think it'll be a hit. It should be a magical sweet that does something to help someone get out of class but aside from that, it’s up to you! (Please keep in mind that it should be safe to use and HOL appropriate though.) You can do this task one of two ways: 1. Write a sales pitch of 120 words or more. 2. Create a presentation (at least 3 slides long) introducing your product. The presentation should combine graphics and text (bullet points will do). If you take the graphics route, please upload each slide to an image hosting website and share the links (or form them into a gallery, whichever is easier) You’ll earn 20 rubies if you post your ideas below by 23:59 HOL-time on the 31st of October!
  12. Have a truly wonderful birthday, Dario!
  13. 9747 Friendly reminder to please check that you're on the final page before posting as I just had to do a mass edit to get us back onto the right number. :D
