Summer Wand-erings

Join us as we embark on a summer internship at Ollivanders, the legendary wand-makers.

  1. The Arboretum

The arboretum is a small, park-like area out in the countryside where the wand wood trees are carefully looked after. It’s a beautiful green grove made up of a huge variety of different trees. The dappled sunlight and rustling leaves make it very inviting - why don’t you wander down one of the winding paths and see what you discover?

  2. The Core Store

The Core Store is a dark, echoing room full of cabinets and crystal cases. This is where the magical materials that form the heart of new wands are kept, before being used. Magic seems to hang heavy in the air - you’re sure you can feel it as a tingle on the back of your neck.

  3. The Workroom

The workroom is where the real magic happens. It’s a brightly lit workshop, cluttered with workbenches and gleaming tools of every description. Clouds of sawdust (and the occasional cluster of magical sparks) hang in the air. Wands at various stages of completeness are everywhere - best be careful what you touch in here.

  4. The Shop

The shop is dark and dusty, stacked to the rafters with slender wand boxes. Though the hustle and bustle of Diagon Alley is right outside the window, it’s silent in here. The atmosphere is almost expectant, as though all the wands are waiting for the next customer.
