Anything Goes

All for one and free for all...

There are many other ways to celebrate unsung heroes that we haven’t had time to cover: tapestries, statues, stained glass windows, memorial plaques, interpretative dance routines, firework displays, decorations, novelty keyrings, games, sayings/idioms, poems, raps...

Write, craft, design, draw, photograph or otherwise magic up some novel way of paying tribute. You can pick something that memorialises one particular hero or something that includes lots of people. The only condition is it has to be fun (and obviously follow HOL rules.... so, two conditions).

Post your creations below. As usual, you can complete this task up to 4 times; you’ll earn 20 beans per entry (25 if you get them in by October 28th). Overall deadline: 31st October.

There should be a time to commemorate all the brave people who fought in the Battle of Hogwarts. We could have everyone come outside on a certain day and shoot a spell into the air for each person who fought. There would be no class that day (YAY!!!) and it would be a time to also celebrate us winning that battle. There would also be an enormous feast that everyone was invited to. (even parents and siblings of the kids) Afterward, (the feast would be in the Afternoon) every one, third year and up, would be allowed to hang out in Hogsmeade for the evening.

I think a great way (and one that would keep a long while) is to have candies dedicated to heroes. Either already existing wizarding candy could adapt some of the heroes in their lines (like chocolate frogs already do) or better yet, a completely new one could be invented.

Everybody loves ice-cream or frozen yogurt! So, to incorporate heroes into it, the ice-cream could come in shape of the hero and since we are talking about wizarding version, when you start eating it, it could have different effects depending on what the person is famous for. For example, if a person invented a levitation charm, a person eating their ice-cream would be able to levitate a few inches off the ground.
