Submissions for June Issue

12 posts in this topic

Submissions for the next edition of the Paw Print this year are now being accepted! This edition will be published in June, right before the end of the year. Options for topics can be end of the year, final exam survivals, etc.

Below, you will find a list of article ideas we are looking for, as well as a place for you to submit your own original ideas and articles as well. Remember that ALL HOL HOUSES CAN SUBMIT. Here are the steps to getting your article in the next issue of the Paw Print!

Step 1) Look over the articles below and decide what you want to write! (Read our POINTS BREAKDOWN thread to see how many you can write!)

Step 2) Post below to let everyone know what above you’re planning to write an article for. This way, we won’t have 20 How To Articles when we only need 2 or 3 of those. Also, READ what everyone is doing above you, so you know if it’s been completely taken for this edition. The number of available articles is written in parentheses.

Step 3) Write! And if you can, create a few graphics to go with your article. We want much more pictures in our editions this time around!

Step 4) Submit your article to thegryffpawprint@gmail.com, in this format:

HOL Name:
HOL ID:
HOL House:

Title of the Article:

What type of Article? (What you signed up for below):

Links from a photo sharing site for any graphics you created:

I was thinking of writing two articles. One on origin of nicknames (particularly those related to HOL) and an interview with one or two Quidditch players.

I'd also like to make a graphic ad for HOL Book Club and HOLLERS.

Sooo, by my count that is 30 points.

Any other things you need so I can reach max 50 points? :D

Oooh yay, I was hoping we'd have a June issue :D (And Maxim, that nickname thing sounds awesome)

Can I do a story, a poem and, if it's okay, something about my experiences running my first activity (HolWriMo)?

Maxim - if you create graphics for each of your other articles that would get you to 40. If you want to get the full 50 you can write another article! All ideas posted here so far have been approved. We look forward to reading and seeing your work!

Sky, all of your ideas have been approved as well. I've been meaning to post for a couple weeks now.... RL teaching is a hot stressful mess at the moment. Seven more school days.... seven more school days.

I'd like to do a Health & Food article on virtual races, a recipe on the best chocolate chip banana bread muffins you've ever had, and two puzzles.
