Welcome to HOL Quidditch - Fall 2015!
Welcome to the Half-Term class, HOL Quidditch! If you are new to HOL and are curious about the wildly popular version of Quidditch, or are simply a Quidditch enthusiast who can't get enough trivia, then you have come to the right place! This class will walk you through all the basics of HOL Quidditch: How to set up the chat program, how to play and practice, how to ref a game, and even how to catch the snitch! By the time you are done with this class, you'll be flying fast and furious on the quidditch pitch and may even want to try out for your house team! Don't wait, join today!
I am editing the lessons as I go, so if you have taken and passed this class prior to Fall Term 2015-2016, you may take it again!
There will be FOUR assignments and FOUR extra credits for this class. Each assignment is worth up to 30 points, each extra credit is also worth up to 30 points. If you complete all of these correctly you will receive 240 points. The final (a cumulative test at the end of term) will be worth 60 points, bringing the total possible points for this class to 300.
In order to receive a quill for this class, you must earn at least 150 points.
There are currently no specific awards available for this class, however, if I have time, I may create ones for earning full points, and for top point earners in each house, at the very least.
I would prefer if assignments were turned in by the last day of each month, however the official due date of all assignments is January 15, 2016. Anything submitted after that date will not be counted. I have no problems with turning assignments in early. Please note, however, that I may not grade them right away if you do turn them in early.
If you have any questions at all, please do not hesitate to ask me! I am more than willing to help with whatever you may need! I will try to send reminders out via PM or HOL message each month in case you forget to check for new assignments and/or turn in your homework!
And finally, a side note: This class has been around for a long time, and the credit for the original idea and lesson plans belongs to Tambaqui Balthazar. Missa Matz took it over for years and years, and has finally passed it on to me to continue to educate new witches and wizards in HOL Quidditch. The lesson plans and assignments have changed many times over the years, but I appreciate all the hard work they put into making this class possible! Thank you!!
